Yesterday was very long, but very productive. We got tracking done for drums, some bass, piano and some guitar. Today is more of the same. Video posts tomorrow.

So far, not much to report. Most of the day was spent rearranging rooms and setting up to record drums. Some techinical difficulties, but we should be all set to start tracking the drums tomorrow.

Dane and I finally got to Cleveland. We are on night 3 of 4, sleeping on couches and pretty much being homeless. Yesterday we built a moveable wall to surround the drums for recording purposes. Without getting technical, it absorbs a lot of sound so there isn’t any echo. Really, you can yell into the wall and not hear anything coming out the other side. Matt is coming tomorrow, weather permitting, and we are going to sit down and plan out recording times for the EP. I’ll put up pictures from the building process as soon as I can. Living out of your car and sleeping on peoples couches makes it hard to do that. Check back soon, more big news on the way.

Wow, sorry I haven’t updated recently. Dane got involved in a pit orchestra for a musical and we haven’t been able to rehearse as often because of it. and then the hell week before finals hit us… and then finals hit us.

Anyway, Dane and I are heading back to Cleveland to prepare for much work ahead. We are building a small isolation wall to help in recording drums. That’s right, Red Beard is in the very early stages of putting out another EP. I can’t say too much about it yet, but we are all excited to get started. Preproduction is starting next weekend. I’ll be keeping you posted as we move along. Expect video blogs as well, I just bought a video camera!
